Refund Policy
Effective Date: January 1, 2026
Arbor Home Building Corporation is committed to transparency and professionalism in all client relationships. This Refund Policy outlines the terms related to payments, deposits, cancellations, and refunds for our construction and remodeling services. We encourage all clients to review this policy and discuss any questions with our team prior to signing a project agreement.
1. Consultation Fees
Initial consultations may be offered at no charge or for a nominal fee depending on the nature and scope of the inquiry. Any consultation fees charged are generally non-refundable unless otherwise explicitly stated in writing prior to the consultation taking place. Consultation fees, where applicable, may be credited toward the project cost upon execution of a formal construction agreement.
2. Project Deposits
Project deposits are collected to reserve scheduling capacity, initiate architectural planning, procure materials, and cover administrative costs associated with project preparation. Deposits are generally partially or fully non-refundable, depending on the stage of work completed at the time of any cancellation request. The specific deposit terms applicable to your project will be outlined in your written project agreement. Clients are encouraged to review deposit terms carefully before signing.
3. Project Cancellations
Clients requesting cancellation after project initiation may be responsible for the following costs incurred up to the date of cancellation:
- All labor completed by Arbor staff and subcontractors
- Materials purchased, ordered, or committed for the project
- Administrative and project management costs
- Permit application and processing fees
- Architectural, engineering, and design work performed
- Equipment rental and site preparation costs
- Any cancellation penalties imposed by subcontractors or suppliers
The net refund, if any, will be calculated as the deposit amount less all documented costs incurred through the cancellation date. A detailed accounting will be provided to the client.
4. Custom and Special-Order Materials
Custom-fabricated, special-order, or non-stock materials ordered specifically for your project are generally non-refundable once the order has been placed with the supplier. This includes but is not limited to custom cabinetry, special-order windows and doors, custom tile and stone, custom millwork, specialty fixtures, and custom-configured mechanical systems. Clients will be notified before such orders are placed and given the opportunity to confirm their selections.
5. Refund Eligibility
Refund requests are reviewed on an individual basis and eligibility depends on:
- The specific terms outlined in the executed project agreement
- The stage of the project at the time of the refund request
- Services and work completed to date
- Materials purchased, ordered, or committed
- Third-party costs and commitments made on behalf of the project
6. Dispute Resolution
We strongly encourage clients to contact us directly to resolve any concerns or disputes regarding payments, refunds, or project performance. Our goal is always to reach a fair and professional resolution. Clients may reach our team by phone at +1 765 227 0606 or by email at info@arborhomebuildingcorporation.com. If a satisfactory resolution cannot be reached through direct communication, the dispute resolution process outlined in the project agreement will apply.
7. Refund Processing Time
Approved refunds will be processed within 10–15 business days of the final refund determination. Refunds will be issued via the same payment method used for the original deposit unless otherwise agreed in writing. Processing times may vary depending on financial institution policies.
8. Non-Refundable Services
The following services and associated costs are generally non-refundable once performed:
- Architectural planning and design work
- Permit applications and processing fees
- Custom design, rendering, and specification services
- Project scheduling and reservation fees
- Completed construction work and installed materials
- Site preparation and demolition work
- Engineering and structural analysis fees
9. Changes to Project Scope
Client-requested changes to project scope, materials, or specifications after project initiation may result in additional costs and are not eligible for refund of the additional charges once work has commenced. All scope changes must be documented in writing and approved by both parties through a formal change order process prior to implementation.
